More like her going to jail really

Why do you think your friend would be facing jail time?  Unless she's been involved in some sort of scam to bring foreigners over to the US for monetary/other personal gain, there's been no criminal offense committed.

She has the legal option to apply for a second K1.....being approved is another story, of course.

. Not to mention USCIS will start to suspect she's part of the scam to bring people over to the US.

.

Indeed, they’ll probably be interested about any improvement in her personal finances around the time of these visas

OP’s comment about going to jail definitely interesting

if its all above board then yes she needs to learn from the past, not jump in, maybe find someone locally that she has time to get to know properly and knows is not just after an immigration benefit

I don't mean to be judgemental, but I'm shocked how quickly people fall in love and they are ready to commit to marriage o.O Especially after having a bad experience with scam and divorce.

Things happen we are all human

Some people should learn from their mistakes and really get to know someone before they decide they have met the person they want to spend the rest of their lives with. If she is unlucky again she won't be getting any more K1 attempts. She will be considered a stepping stone to the US.

If a lawyer mentioned the possibility of her facing jail time.....possible you don't know the full story of what's going on...odd for a lawyer to bring that possibility up out of nowhere.

Before this most recent filing, has your friend filed previous K-1s or other family-based petitions in the past?
