New case number after rejection?

I filed all the forms for AOS, EAD, and AP for my wife and step daughter.  I tried to go the Credit card route to get travel points when they get AP but stupidly forgot to sign the CC form. 

 

On the same day I I received the rejection for USCIS, I mailed back with a check on June 22nd.  Monday July 16th my check cleared my bank but their status still shows the rejection.

 

Will they receive a new case number or the same one and the "status" has not been updated??  I have checked status on the 17th and 18th and still shows same status
