Tuesday questioned why the U.S. must commit to defending all NATO allies during an interview in the wake of a contentious summit with the transatlantic alliance in Belgium.

Trump made the comment on Fox News's "Tucker Carlson Tonight" when host Tucker Carlson asked  why should his "son go to Montenegro to defend it from attack?"

"I've asked the same question," Trump said. "Montenegro is a tiny country with very strong people. ... They are very strong people. They are very aggressive people, they may get aggressive, and congratulations, you are in World War III.

"I understand, but that's the way it was set up. Don't forget, I just got here a little more than a year and a half ago, but I took over the conversation three or four days ago and I said you have to pay," Trump added, referencing the demands he made about defense spending during the summit.

It was hilarious that be he compared himself to Churchill. 

Churchill fought in several wars, Trump fought for several deferments. Churchill envisioned a unified European nation, free trade. NATO was a Hallmark of Churchill's doctrines, Trump would rather dismantle it.

You do realize how NATO works right? It is not automatic that a country in NATO must defend another country in NATO. The country's parliament/congress has to go back and vote on whether to go to war or not.

Our President most certainly doesn't know what NATO is for and he's siding with a man who would love to see NATO being dismantled.

Plus NATO was formed to provide collective security from Russia (Soviet Union).

When is the last time Congress declared war? Legions of sorties , battles, terrorist attacks, war criminals, flights ,navel manuvers, war games and preparations have been undertaken under the NATO banner. Peace has been kept in in Europe since it's foundation, and  we should not let some pipsqueak draft avoider take it away.

 

Where was Putin after 9 11? Have Russian troops been there for the US?

Putin has is targeting Montenegro and Trump is his agent in that effort, it makes a Vet like me throw up in my mouth.
