Damn, such a waste of time and money though. Now you have to start everything from the scratch and pay new fees...

I've seen few posters who decided to get married while waiting for their K1 to be approved and it's always such a shame. Few more months and you'd have a visa and now you have to wait over a year for a spouse visa.

Also, don't try to continue with K1 thinking that USCIS won't "notice" your marriage. It will and you'll just create more problems for yourself. Just saying. :)

Thank you :)

oh man, now you will need to start over!

you can no longer continue the K1. that is for unmarried people to marry inside the US. now you will need to withdraw that one. and then after that's completed, file CR1. you know that CR1 takes ~12-14 months, right? you just unnecessarily wasted money and 4 months on a K1.

Thank you :)

Am thinking about our paper which not yet autenticated if it's considered legal.

It does not matter. You did get married, period. In the USCIS eyes you're no longer an unmarried couple, so there's no K1 for you.

What do you mean if it's considered legal?.. You have papers from an officiant but they weren't recognized yet by the country or no papers were generated?
