New thread.  We received our NOA2 on July 10 and our case was sent to the Department of State on the 11th.  I'm reading that it is taking an average of 2 weeks from UCSIS to NVC. Beyond that, I'm not sure how long it is taking to assign a case number. As the wait continues, we are remaining positiveand optimistic that all will go smoothly. Thank you for sharing in this forum as it helps all of us to monitor progress, to get a general idea of timelines, and post questions as we move forward.

My petition was approved on June 25th and I called on Friday and they received my case July 10th so it took 2 weeks.

Keep calling the NVC daily until they confirm they have it, and if your country is pivot it may take around 3-5 weeks for a case number but if you're non pivot expect 8+ weeks.

Unfortunately yes...

We originally filed an I-130 in February 2017 and that was approved at the TSC in August 2017 but my lawyer messed up the paperwork as he filed for adjustment of status when I actually needed consular processing though the London Embassy. So we had to file an I-824 on November 2nd 2017 to move the approved I-130 to the NVC.

So the i-824 was finally approved 8 months later on June 26th 2018 and now I'm trying to find out if it's been sent to the NVC. I really just need to get this part through as quickly a possible as it has been 18 months that I have been apart from my wife.

Hi! After 2 weeks i'd call NVC to confirm that they received your case after that it's taking most people about 8 weeks to get a case number

Thank you for kind response. I notice that you are also filing for the Dominican Republic.

We file our paperwork upon receiving the case number, correct? So, we are probably looking at early to mid September to get our case number. I understand the process moves fairly quickly after that. If all goes smoothly,  we are hoping for a December interview date (if sooner, we would accept that as a miracle but we are realistic).

Yes after receiving your Case number and invoice number everything moves pretty quickly from there about 2-3 weeks for paying the fees and submitting the required documents ( make sure you have everything ready) and then another 2 weeks or so for CC
