my case was non-pivot so we mailed it. Also i did have PCC but its for only after marriage (as i moved to new city) so i am wondering do i need it from Lahore also before marriage period? as https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/iv-dv-supplemental/ISL_Islamabad.pdf says. so i am confused now.

I think if they didn't ask for it earlier then you won't need it. I remember there was another member from Pakistan and his wife moved to another city after marriage so she got 2 police certificates. I don't know if it was required by NVC or they just got it to be on safe side. Check with someone. Maybe you can get a police certificate from where you lived previously incase they ask for it during interview.

@lousiaC i know ,it's pretty confusing ,the best way to find out is to email or call ISL embassy & inquire about it yourself .

Yes,they have clearly mentioned on their website that paki police certificates are not required for consular processing as Pakistan has no nationwide tracking system for criminal activities but the funny thing is ,NVC do require police certificate when we upload our civil documents .

*quite confusing*

Thank you so much! Also, we have a 9 month old daughter ....should I send her birth certificate copy also? Or is that not necessary? And does he still need a police certificate if he's never been out of Pakistan?

I am going to assume daughter is with you in USA. , if yes , her birth certificate is not needed.

Should the birth certificate be in urdu with an English translation or just the English? And should they be scanned in color or just the black and white photocopies? Thanks for the info!

If your husband has Nadra Birth Certificate then no translation is needed. Otherwise if he has those old ones then he will need to get those translated.

does not matter color or blacknwhite, color will look better. Remember you are not sending anything this time, everything will be uploaded to NVC website.

For police certificate :

you need to go khidmat markaz with following documents :

1.  2 copies of cnic (attested by 17 grade govt. offical)

2. 2 copied of passport (attested )

3. 4 pics blue background passport size

4. 50 rupee stamp paper with affidivate signed by oath commisioner

5. Application form that you can get from khidmat markaz.

Take all these things to khidmat markaz, they will 100 rupee fee for tcs. Take original docs i.e. cnic and passport with you. They will take application enter data and give you reciept of tcs token. That will be deliverd to your home in 15 days. :)

hope this helps.
