Hello guys, Hope you all are doing good and some will be happy to see the visa issued and some in the queue. May all the pending visas be issued soon.

I got interviewed on Jan 17th, 2019 and the interviewer asked me 6/7 questions and gave me this white paper with a tick mark on section 221 (g). She returned me everything and kept my passport and didn't ask me to submit anything and said that you cannot go with your wife rn but you will get your passport after 1 month (my wife also went with me). The status on my application changed to AP on 18th Jan and now it got updated on 23rd Jan but still, it's in AP.

Any idea how much time it will take and is it normal that they give you the white paper and don't ask to submit anything.

Please help--Thank you

So, my case got update today again for the 2nd time after 1 week and it still says AP. Any idea what's happening?

Thanks

Did you already submit joint sponsor papers? If yes , you are all set. If not do it as soon as possible. Because they will look your husband's income and your joint sponsor's income. Their combine income is enough. Good Luck.

ok

You will get visa on February12 or before IA and perfect timing for Valentine day. Don't contact Senator again,  because its needed for those people who are waiting for 12 months or longer, and I don't want you to make embassy mad also on you by doing this, I'm little mad on you already. Your husband name is irrelevant. You will see frequent updates in early February  like ......AP.............Refused...........AP..........Ready  ..... issued.

You are all set.

Good luck.

So it's the 12th and no update for me :(

i guess i'll have to wait more now 😔

NO ONE can predict a timeline for visa issuance...no one.   I've been watching these cases for years AP is called the black hole for a reason because nobody can update you, give you more details and most  definitely can not tell you when the visa will be issued.  It could be weeks, months or even years.

You were told at your interview that you were approved so InshaAllah you'll get your visa bu when its hard to say.

Hi Leenz, First I would like to apologize if I disappoint you regarding your visa prediction. I consider myself an expert on it but I’m human too. But most of the time I’m correct and trust me many members inbox me with their happy news “Issued”.  I’m reviewing your case again. Any one of the following will happen.

  1. As I said before you will get visa before midnight ET today. Or

  2. I made a mistake in calculating your case. CO gave you 221g with AP box checked. Even though you did not receive DS-5535 yet, but may be in future, and if so then you will get visa in 12-16 months. I’m really sorry again for miscalculation, but I really wish you get visa in February.

Hey! Don't apologize. At least you were able to answer me where no one could. So im still grateful for that. Yeah im wishful it happens this month. Let's see.

Hi guys!! So my spouse is supposed to have his interview at Islamabad embassy. Our case just became “documentarily qualifies” on 2/13/19 and we got an email stating that NVC will Schedule our interview and will let us know when that is.  Can anyone share their experience as to how long it took for NVC to schedule at Islamabad I know it kind of varies depending on which consulate

It took NVC about 2 weeks to schedule the interview after we got the "documentarily qualified" email. The interview appointment was one month out from the date we received interview appointment email. I think your interview date will be sometime in late March or early April.

Hi,

My case became documentarily qualified today, now waiting for the interview appointment.

Have you got your interview appointment yet?

Thank you

I think NVC schedules interview appointments once every month, and one month in advance. The NVC letter says: "Most appointments are set within three months of NVC’s receipt of all requested documentation." I hope our cases will be scheduled for sometime in April. Please update here whenever you get the interview appointment.

Thanks

I’ve read about a couple people who got documentarily qualified and then they got an email about their interview date within 2-3 weeks after so hopefully we get that also! It will be 3 weeks for me on Wednesday, literally just praying and waiting. In the meantime I’m having my spouse make a file of documents that the consulate usually asks for and just crossing things off that we already have. I will definitely keep you posted please do the same

Yes sure I will keep posting the updates on my case too. Are you going to get the police certificate issued? According to my understanding it's not required if the applicant did not live outside Pakistan.

My husband still got one made and we already submitted it to NVC when we uploading documents but I told him to just take it with to interview because you never know what they need or what they don’t better to be prepared! And hopefully we hear something good soon!

I did not submit the police certificate to NVC with my wife's application, and they did not ask for it after the review and marking as documentarily qualified. But I agree it is better to have any documents prepared in advance for which there is a slightest chance that they might ask at the embassy to avoid any delays.
