My interview was on 11th Dec 2018 at the Isb US embassy and the officer who interviewed me was super nice and said that my visa has been approved and kept the passport. In the end she handed me the white paper that was ticked for Admin Processing as most of the applicants. I asked her about it and she said it's just something they have in the system and i should not worry. My update dates only changed when my lawyer requested for an inquiry and then after the request was sent from the local senator's office. 

Any chances of getting my visa by the second week of Feb? This whole process is very frustrating. I know, no one can tell how long will this AP take but still, it'll be good to hear something if someone is or has been in the same situation.

We had our interview on the same day but mine was in Naples consulate in Italy and in AP too...I pray we get out of this and celebrate afterwards and soon too

 

i don’t wish this AP for my worse enemy. I have lost so much weight just waiting and my wife is depressed

Im a female and my name isn't islamic or long, but my husband's name definitely starts with Muhammad. 

The only documents i was asked for were the registered marriage certificate, my birth certificate and my passport along with the medical.

CO asked me the following:

Who's calling me to the states? Husband

What does he do? 

How is he related? Khala's son 

Arrange/love marriage?

Who arranged it? Parents

What do you do? Im a dentist

Been out of country? Where? ( KSA and Maldives)

My wedding details like the date, how many people were there?

How many times my husband visited me after getting married?

How often do we talk?

 

She had everything on the screen already since the attorney made us submit everything already. So she didn't feel the need to ask me for any documents or chat logs or call history. 

At the end she said your visa is approved and handed me a paper. On reading it i said to her it says refused, she said oh that's nothing to worry about, it's something we have to put in our system. Otherwise it's approved. 

And no i haven't received any emails like th3 DS-5535 form.

I had an interview on January 17th and got the same form with a tick mark on 221(g). The CO told me that you will get your passport in 1 month time. My case got updated on January 23rd and Still waiting. 
If the CO said that your visa is approved then she should not have given you this form.

That day there were 5-6 other ladies who were there for their spouse visa - we all got this form. So basically they were placing everyone on AP.

My husband contacted the Senator as he was told by the lawyer. But i think this is it. They are just waiting now.

You should also check your IV application at CEAC and make sure that all the documents you submitted has accepted status. At the bottom of the 221g paper you got, it's asking to upload all the documents which has asterisk in the list. I wonder why CO highlighted that but never told you about missing document. It's weird.

i got the 221 g to submit new joint sponsor and i uploaded and its been 2 months its only shows submitted but i sent a email to my embassy to confirm if they got it and they replied me thank you we received ur uploaded documents we will let u know if we need additional documentation and my status says AP

All my documents have been accepted and processed. I don't need to upload anything - otherwise the boxes would have been ticked. That note you're referring to, is for people to whom they have asked for the following documents as to what needs to be submitted by mail (hard copy) and what needs to be uploaded on the site.

  emabassy ask me after 4 month refused status submit new joint sponser my husband annual income will be 30000$ but their previous year income was lessthan poverty guideline.Now we add joint sponser, her income is 20500$, 26000$ and 28000$ and have asstes of worth 50000$ and 1000$ in bank a/c she has 1 depedent at this time her according to povertyguide line her income can manage two dependent.Myquestion is embassy will accept it or not. someonesays me it should be more than 30000$ .

So you had a joint sponsor but the counslar officer did not tell you at your interview that you will need a new joint sponsor? If your husband’s income is enough to sponsor you then i say you wait until he files his 2018 taxes and submit that transcript along with a new i864. For 3 people you will need to 25,975.

So, Is 221-g  given to every applicant? Do they ever issue the visa the same day or everyone has to go through AP ?

No one get the visa same day now. Every case go under AP but the time frame varies depending on the case and situation I guess.
