My wife took her interview in Islamabad, everything else was good however, they said we need to upload Nikanama, they kept her Passport+Birth Certificate+Wedding Certificate, and gave her a white paper that on top says '...Your visa has been refused under the provision of the Immigration and Nationality Act." and has Section 221(g), and on the bottom it says to upload Nikanama, is this a good sign? I uploaded the document within a few hours of the interview, how long do you guys think it will take? (checked online it says under Administrative Processing) And are they going to send the original documents back along with the passport?

Give it two weeks at least . No need to panick. They kept the passport which means it’s pretty much approved

Check your status online . Does it say issued yet¿ Once it says issued you will get a call within two days and they will tell you what to do

Yes it said issued yesterday. Okay now I’m waiting for their call.

So this evening our case status went from Application received, to AP....wondering if that means the visa will soon be issued as we didn’t receive any sort of AP paper, CO said we were approved and visa would be ready 2/3 weeks...

My hubby had his interview on Sep 10th and they took his passport and gave him the white slip (221G) Admin Processing & asked for more documents which we submitted by there courier service and also online. (They received them on the 24th according to the courier service.) They update the status everyweek but its always admin processing yet the date changes. On the track my passport website first it used to say “Your passport is still with the US embassy/consulate of Pakistan” and now for the last two days its saying:

Passport Status :

There is no status update available for the passport number submitted

 

Which is realllly weird. Does anyone know whats going on? Hoping for a positive response! Thanks! 

I am on the same boat like you. My passport kept by them and also submitted documents via courier but still in administrative processing. Have you got any update of your case?

If you have scanner in home, the scanner should have scan to PDF option button (touchscreen?), if not 100% there is software for scanner (epson, canon, etc). Do NOT crop. Scan as letter/A4. PDF is better option like you said. Once you scan it, open PDF in computer/check in phone too before uploading it. Also when you scan your passport, make sure it is vertical (meanin biographic page should be bottom and other page on top) NOT horizontal. Easy rule is, if NVC agent has to tilt or rotate his/her head to read your document/passport, they will reject.

Hi Question, my wife has same situation, they are asking for Nikanama (we only have English original we never had urdu one, hopefully that won't be an issue), how long does the courier usually take to send to Embassy in Islamabad, our courier is in Peshawar, and do they give tracking?

Hey! First of all, you will need to get an original urdu nikkah nama as it is more important than the English one so go to the marriage registrar and ask him to give u an urdu one bcz all Nikkahs in Pakistan are done in Urdu. And courier service takes a few days i mailed mine on 18th and they recieved on 24th bcz 9-10 muharram was in between.

My status changed from "at nvc" to "intransit" today .when i will get my interview  letter ? Please help
