Okay after I read these I'm freaking out. My ex didn't cancel her nicop it seems and I've already filed my cr-1 we are legally divorced in Pakistan have the divorce decree and also the nadra divorce certificate. The nicop is something that never even crossed my mind. She was non Pakistani. Her nicop expires in a week. Oh ! Now what?

I think if you got Nadra divorce Certificate then Nadra backend record will be automatically updated.

Do they allow mobiles in the Islamabad embassy? If not, are there lockers/safe storage etc. for storing personal belongings?

You should read those reviews to get an idea about the interview and I read someone interview review that you have to submit your phone outside of the Embassy and take it back after you finish from the interview.

There are no lockers or anything. On the website you are instructed of what you can and can't bring...I would definitely read that. Because they do not even allow for you to bring in bags for your stuff

No it does not.  You have to submit the divorce document to update the CNIC and the FRC they do not automatically update.

Agreed. When I updated my NICOP last month, the NADRA record didn't show my 5-year-old divorce. It was still showing me as married.

Good thing, I read the post here on VJ and updated the record.

They don't check at USCIS or NVC stage so it would not even come up until the interview.  If it expires soon I would not be concerned.

It was great 👍 i was the first one who gave interview. The CO was polite and he asked plain questions like How you get married? How many people were in the marriage? Give me some photographs? What he did in Us? Are you related/cousins? And then he said congratulations your visa is approved you can collect your passport within 2-3 weeks and i came back. My interview was smooth Alhamdulillah 😊😊 but now idk how to give pickup location for my passport
