hello, i wish this post could have been wrote before Nov'17 so that we (including many readers) take benefit as advised.

alert signs before interview in US consulate:

1) when you are advised to wait longer before biometrics

2) when everyone curious upon your entrance in consulate premises, what is the purpose of visiting and who sponsored you

3) when someone from behind the glass window constantly watching through every processing and keeping close eyes on you

4) when you are called in confined room for an interview and you find yourself with two gentlemen, English speaking and Urdu speaking simultaneously, are conducting interview

5) they act interrogative, hostile, rude most of the time and constantly telling you that "don't believe you" and "you are lying to them"

6) they give you paper and pen to write your statement on embassy paper then sign it

above mentioned sings clearly helps you recognize that you (and accompanying) are in deep trouble, because unfortunately, nobody knows how CO will treat until it is all over. everybody walk in to consulate with smile and feeling that they are about to get visa stamped in their passports but believe me this is not the case for majority.

she explained very well what to do and behave but unfortunately for many of us it is already too late.

@Love To Teach and @silverhawk   This is really scary. I really feel very sorry for you.

My dad had to go through similar intimidation tactics several years ago at the US Consulate in Karachi - when he went for his visit visa interview. The CO was a very rude Pakistani and did not issue him the visa. On the other hand, my mom went to the Islamabad Embassy a couple of years before my dad's interview. The CO was American speaking Urdu. Very polite and issued her the visit visa.

Baz20---Thanks for the kind words. Sometimes I think people on here probably think that my husband probably really IS still married to his ex and is lying to me or he would not have written that coerced false confession. Nobody can believe that anybody would do that, but when you are a kind, mild, law-abiding citizen (not corrupt like so many) and you are screamed at, intimidated, and threatened, nice people tend to be scared out of their minds and do what they are told to escape a horrifying situation. We have applied again for our CR-1, filed a formal complaint against that Embassy, and will continue on until the end, even if we remain a long-distance couple. I am happy to report my sweet husband is now working in Dubai, is getting his confidence back, and after only 2 weeks working as a Customer Service Manager for a Marriott there, has already been assigned to travel around training new hires. (He has over 20 years experience as a travel agent/owner). We have been together 7.5 years now. It's so ludicrous for them to think he is still married to his ex (especially since his entire family AND his ex have appeared before a judge and testified that they are indeed divorced)...but you know the truth is, the embassy knew then and they know now he wasn't still married to his ex, they just didn't want to give him a visa. The real crime is that our own US Embassy hires locals to destroy their own countrymen. They don't want to get their own hands dirty. And isn't it a coincidence that none of the "interviews" aren taped or recorded? No record=no evidence. Where else in the world would that happen in any type of important meeting? We will continue to fight until the end...we're not scared. They can deny us, but they can't destroy us or our marriage. God knows the truth.

PS--For you people that say they are just doing their job---you're full of it! They can interview people in a decent way without using terror tactics. There is absolutely NO excuse for the way they are treating people!!

Hi Guys,

- How long does it take from Case Complete in NVC to "In Transit" to Embassy? Based on my estimate average of fellow PK applicants, it takes about 10 days (not including weekends), is this correct?

- And how long does it take from interview (once passed) at Embassy does it take to get the passport, also can you physically pick it up in person vs them mailing using courier because my wife lives in a village with no courier service easily accessible, does the embassy give that  pick up in person option or must you use courier such as DHL, etc. Thanks!

My case was electronic on CEAC and once the documents got accepted it took 12 days total including weekends, to get an interview date.
