Wonder if this applies to the affidavit of support?

so you will just specify you will pick up??

Why would you spend $75 to send a package when it's not necessary?  Keep in mind that 99.9% of the time USEM does not ask for AOS.. They stopped asking for financial information almost 3 years ago. Let's say they do ask her at the interview. You'll get an rfe, you'll send the updated form in the package to her, she'll turn around and send it to USEM and then your case will be adjudicated and Visa will be on its way. At best it will cost you maybe a week and a half at best before the visa is issued. USCIS recognize the fact that a lot of petitioners were sending packages to their beneficiary in order meet the old requirement cost an undue burden. Just my 2 pesos.

Use couriers, don't use the regular mail system (ie USPS). USPS will get in done from their side, but once they hand it off to the Philippine postal system, your mail will enter a blackhole, never to be seen again.

Again, this has been a hit or miss topic with USEM. Some CO's are asking for it and others are not. It is important that you pass your interview and I would recommend that you prepare these documents in the event that the CO ask for them. Better to be safe then sorry then receiving a 221(g) for missing documents. Pay attention to the documents that are required from the last sentence.

The Embassy letter states:

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions – English (February 2014)  Page 3 of 9 with original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134.

I am sure this has been answered before, but unable to find. When shipping documents, etc to the Philippines, do you have to specify a home address or can you have it be picked up? I ask because I feel the place I am living at now is very difficult to find and wondering if it would prolong getting important documents. Any suggestions.

Needing wet signature on a document.

I have to put an address with FEDEX (2GO in the Phils).

What are you trying to send,  do you need an original or would a copy (emailed) work?

Maybe not all the time..Mine went really well..I got the documents without a problem.

You are VERY lucky.  Every time we use USPS (their guarantee expires once the letter/package leaves the states - dont insure anything with them) the items took weeks to get to Metro Manila and the postman held everything hostage for the "delivery fee" which is determined after they postman opens the package/document to determine what it will be worth to the recipient.

A certified copy of my BC went for 1000 php.  A photo book I had made for my stepdaughter went for 500 php.  They are very open about it too.

I have received mail from the Philippines without issue.  It still took 2 weeks first class but I got her signed paperwork fine.

Live and learn.  We were attempting to use wet signatures on everything (per Rapidvisa).  They even say that I will need all police reports for the CR-1 because of IMBRA...no, I am not going to use them.  I will file on my own and save the $550 they charge for the CR-1.

That on top of what I did pay them for the K-1.  The weird part is the K-1 paperwork is a little more substantial than the CR-1 but the CR-1 costs more.  I think they charge over $1000 for AOS.  Maybe we are in the wrong business.  :D

Ya, the CENOMAR isn't listed on the Required List for the CFO website, but many report back that they do ask for it.   This is a better safe than sorry suggestion  ... plus saves a trip ;)
