Just Sitting There....3 Weeks at CSC

Hi All,

I went thru the whole process I-130 --> NOA1(I-130) --> I-129F --> NOA1(I-129F); Both the Applications got touched as of the 20th and 23rd of April; they are both at CSC and are now basically just sitting there.........

I am sure many of you are in the same state; Looks like they just sit there till it's time for them to be processed. I wonder if they are even assigned to a particular person or do they just sit in some sort of que.....;

Its been about 3 weeks since they have been touched; any thoughts or ideas on when they may be touched again?

Any thoughts or ideas on if it sits in a que or is assigned to a person.......

I often sit and wonder, is it just a matter of manpower at the processing center where they do not have enough adjudicators; it looks like it really take only 3 to 5 days of actually active processing time, would it be nice if they could charge a slightly higher fee.. say $500 to $800 per application and hire more adjudicators, it really seems to be just a matter of supply and demand, there is definatly demand for the K3 visa, they should work to match the demand by increasing supply.. i am not advocating they approve visa's by charging the higher fee, just adjudicate faster so spouses can get together with their loved ones quicker.

Just had to rant a bit.....;

If any one could shed some light on the intermal processing at the Service Center, i think all of us on the site would appriciate it......

Good Luck all.......

Applying for K-3 Visa.

It IS frustrating to have your life thrust into a black hole. However, you might as well get used to it for a while. Your petition will go through a multi-step process, all behind a curtain. Many people see absolutely no evidence of "touches" between NOA1 and NOA2/Approval. There is no way to know what any given touch might mean. All you can do is check timelines here for an approximation of how long similar cases are taking at your service center and hope you get lucky enough to be on the short end of the range.

Shiv,

That's right - they just sit there, in a box with dozens of other petions, on a shelf with dozens (hundreds?) of other boxes, until they are in the next box in line to be taken off the shelf and be given to a case officer.

It is touched when it is received at the Service Center and then usually you won't see anything until it is approved. Try not to be too obsessed with checking for touches- I know it is hard though. :)

The day will come when you get that E-Mail from CRIS that says your petition has been approved.
