Hi to anyone who can help!

 

I really need some clarification as to how best to obtain my UK NHS medical reports/records that are acceptable by the Knightsbridge clinic.

 

I have read and heard lots of conflicting options from various places (including my GP).

 

When I asked my Doctors surgery, they said I had to fill out a Subject Access request form (SAR) which provides a copy of your medical records in a minimum of 5 days, maximum of 21 days. They said this would cost £10 and any extra pages would cost more, but that they would contact me with the total price when it had been copied.

 

I have read on here that a Summary Care records (SCR) is acceptable by the Knightsbridge clinic and that this can be obtained by logging online with a username and password that your doctors surgery can provide within as little as an hour.

 

Does anyone have any advice as to which is the best, quickest and most accepted option to provide for the medical examination.

All you need is a medical history summary, if you have online access at your doctor's you can probably get one from there and print it, usually just a page or 2. 

Unfortunately some surgeries are still catching up with the digital age so if you can't get it that way you'll have to brave the receptionists (I found speaking to my GP to be most effective).

If you have or have had any major conditions get a letter detailing the condition and treatments.

Reason I'm asking is... I filled out (SAR) from GP. I haven't received any response from anyone and now it's going on three week's.

You should just go down there and tell them (reception) you need the medical records sooner rather than later, they was able to print mine out on the spot.

So will be taking this to the medical appointment.
