Howdy All,

does anybody know if an ID card can be issued in CA with a k1 fiance visa?

thanks

K-1 visa is a one time entry visa. You may be able to obtain California ID after you enter with K-1 visa providing your I-94 is valid for more than 60 days.

thanks

How do you get another what ? I94? You cant..But the K1 visa grants a 90 day valid stay... so i am not quite sure what is meant by the I94 being less than 60 days.. unless it has less than 60 of the 90 days to go... in which case you have missed the window to get the ID card using the K1 stay.. you will now have to wait until you receive the AP/EAD

Like Dee elle said, you missed the window period to get California ID. The K-1 Visa guide with the flowchart used to include to apply for State ID in addition to applying SSN card upon first week arrival of K-1 visa.

This is a tough one now for you. You need to open joint bank account to prepare for your AOS package. In California depending where you live, there are only a few banks will accept foreign passport to open bank account.
