Derek and I have been looking for a cat for the past few weeks and finally found one. A little younger (10-11 weeks) than we originally planned, but how can you not fall in love with this face? And in a nice bit of kitty karma, he was born right around the same time we had to put Jenny to sleep.

Yeah, Derek was not much of a cat person before Jenny and originally said that after she died he did not want to get another cat. He really wants a bloodhound. But Jenny twisted him around her little paw and after she died he was crushed, said the house was too quiet and when could we get another cat. :lol: He's never been around a kitten before so it's been a lot of fun.

BTW, I finally noticed your anti-IAMS signature and wanted to say right on! I had not heard that they tested on animals before, but I used to feed both IAMS and Nutro to Jenny. Unfortunately ALL of her food was all part of the recall and I truly believe it caused her death. Which at 21 was perhaps not untimely, but she suffered and it broke my heart that she had to go through that when she was the most vulnerable. :angry: Anyway, I contacted both Nutro and IAMS, and while Nutro has been great, IAMS has been just miserable. I will never buy anything from them again. So Calvin eats, or should I say inhales, Innova EVO. A bit pricey perhaps, but worth it for my sanity.
