Thanks for your info. I also called today and mine is not scheduled yet.

So they schedule interview almost 2 months from now... That's longer than I expected. Good luck with your interview then!

Thank you. Wishing you the same. Since your CC is just a few days after mine, you should get the interview in September.

I just called NVC. They scheduled my interview on Sep 07.

My priority date is June 02, 2017. I guess they base on the priority date at USCIS, not the Case Completed at NVC.

Wow congratulations, the importance’s we all get the interview date. Time for interviewed preparation, hope we all get good news. 🤩🤩

If CC means Case Completed at NVC so mine is July 03.

I reached out to a VisaJourney user who recently got his interview scheduled and here his response: "The NVC is not very helpful officially, but my understanding from other people's comments on the forum is that they start scheduling each month in the last week of the second month before.  If this is correct, they didn't have an August interview slot available for you, and they will start scheduling September interviews either next week or the following week. "

So I guess it should be within 3 weeks of Case Completed at NVC, the interview will be scheduled.

I was told that we could submit civil documents online for Vietnam embassy. Is it true?

Not that I'm aware of. Vietnam still is not in the list for online document processing.

I came with my wife to her interview - they asked both of us (it did not matter who answered the questions):

  • Who is [Name]? (my ex)?
  • Who is [Name]?  (my older brother who filed AOS for his wife)
  • Who is [Name] ? (another brother who filed I-130 for his wife)
    • Consulate has the information - I assumed it appeared on interviewer's monitor as we used same mailing address for our petitions (we often travel for business so we tend to use our mother's address for all important mails).
  • How many times did I visit my wife? (9)
    • The interpreter said: "wow - good!"
  • How did you guys know each other? (Our two families have been friends - we were neighbors)

I think she didn't get approved because of the recent marriage fraud bust that happened in May in Houston.  Something like 100 Vietnamese people got arrested for marriage fraud.

They asked for info

about an ex spouses

proof of purchase of airplane tickets

more relationship evidence

list of beneficiary's relatives in the US

full list of petitioner's relatives

relationship timeline

and it took like 2 weeks for her to get her Passport back after the interview

IR1/CR1 is usually a bit easier than K1 because you are already married for about a year.  There can't be to much marriage fraud, you're already married.

Did you get the visa??
