I have my 1 year Extension expiring in 75 days (i.e 2.5 months).

 

Any experience on getting I--551 Stamp in general & Dallas,TX in particular.

Are they doing it since i am within the 90 day window period to end

I need it to show my Company for Employment purpose

No not any problem at all ... Mine expires in 2 months time and I got the stamp in their Dallas office without any issues and the officer was so nice as he answered all the questions I have on my case.

It's for 12 months ... even though my passport expires in June 2019, the i-551 stamp is for one year to expire in July 18, 2019 ... the officer just called my attention to the fact that my passport would expire earlier than the stamp date and he said if I didn't get my 10 years GC before then, I should come with a renewed passport to get another stamp :)
