Is it possible to get a RFIE and/or RFE a second time? (merged)

Hello, 

 

USCIS case tracker updated my I-485 Supplement A.

 

7/19/18 confirming that they received my RFE response. 

 

This was a RFIE not RFE though. Not that it matters but does that mean my clock won’t re-start since the new USCIS website account says that my case is no longer no hold?

 

I am trying to find when others were approved after they submitted just the RFIE for BC with ET?

 

I-765 still days 10/4/17 for receipt date.

 

Will I have to re-do the I-693 Medical Exam? It was done in June of 2017 so that means it has expired right?

The issue of RFIE OR RFE is complex, the general perception is that RFIE re-starts the clock while RFE pause the clock. I also received a RFIE on Birth Certificate , which am 110% sure i submitted with my original submission.  My cases reads '' Your case is no longer on hold''. I personally interpret this as a pause not re-start. Finger cross. 

On the medical Exam, it is only valid for 12 Months.  Once you get your interview notice, then you can do a new medical exam.

Did you resubmit the same BC again? 

 

Mine, also says “Your case is no longer on hold” which seems like no a re-start. Considering my RD was 10/4/17 and RFIE on 4/30/18. I am not sure why they would restart it. It only takes couple minutes to approve a BC right? 

 

The medical 1 year has to be valid till the day of my interview?

Yes i sent the same birth certificate .Pls note,  my BC is all in ENGLISH.

The medical should be less than  1yr at the date of your interview. 

I actually raised a service request on my birth certificate. I wanna know if they accept it or not.

Was at an ‘Extract’ or an ‘Excerpt’?

Lot of these cases are taking more than a year though. That means many are having to take the exam again and pay hundreds in USD.

The civil surgeon I went to they said they guarantee to renew my report for me if it takes more than a year. 

I think maybe you can have a check with them to see if they have that service or not

How does that work? They print the old report and put a new date on it?

Sorry i didnt ask for more detail when the doctor mentioned it. but i believe you need to back to the clinic again anyway cos you need to sign on the form again

 

But I suggest you to call to the one you went before and ask if they have the same service provided or not.

you mean how much it cost for my medical report? Mine cost around US$320.
