I'm going to file my N 400 application online. I'm just wondering what documents I need to submit with my application.

I'm filling based on 5-year rule and I reside in USA.

Do I need to file any tax returns? or photographs ?

The application only asked me to upload marriage certificate, Selective service letter and a photocopy of my greencard.

is there anything else I need to submit?

When you start your application online, additional questions may appear depending on your responses.

At the end of the application, a collapsible list of documents will let you know what supporting documents you need to upload and what file formats are acceptable.

You are not required to submit right away.

Just make sure you keep your application active within a 30 day period. To extend the "life" of your form, you just need to sign back in every so often and either revisit your responses or upload documents (in case they were not readily available during the time you start the application).

You will find that because you are filing under the 5 year rule, typically there will be fewer documents required of you. What matters is you meet the residency requirement and are able to account for your time in the US through employment, school and/or physical presence in the US.

Your picture will be taken at your ASC/processing center during your biometrics appointment.

Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot. It really does. I uploaded all what I was asked for. but there's a field for additional supporting documents. Do I need to add anything?

Thanks for passing by but this is outdated and doesn't apply to online filling.

Not that I can think of. You are free to upload any documents you think you will need to establish residency. I uploaded tax transcripts, birth certificates of my kids, bank statements, a mortgage related document. I do not know particulars in your case so that is completely dependent on you.

How do I pay the fees? does it prompt me to pay it at the end of the application?

When you are ready to submit, yes you get redirected to another page and that's when you pay.
