There is a spacing error on his visa under annotations as follows :

Annotations:

P/A EXAMPL ENAME

FATHER

Does anyone have any idea if this will slide through at customs, or if its going to need to be changed, all other information is correct on it.

I understand your example but is the boy's actual name correct on the visa?

yes all information is correct except that annotation (which is my name as his father :P), which as far as I can see isnt 'wrong' is just a spacing error, I am still waiting on the US embassy getting back to me regarding it and I'm hoping someone can shed light on it, I don't want to turn up at the POE and be refused for something that simple.

Well, if you have time, it would be good to have the Embassy correct the mistake but I doubt there would be any POE problem either way.

If it would be causing me problems I definately would be sending it back for reprint, a few more weeks isn't going to kill me (I hope..) but if its just a cosmetic issue its not a great big deal and I would rather just get over to the US and start my life again. Thank you for answering.

Email from the embassy today confirms that the error doesn't matter and that the visa is still valid

We regret the typographical error made when issuing your son's visa. However, this visa is valid and there is no requirement that you have this amended prior to travel.

Thank you for your e-mail correspondence.
