Divorce Decree Signed or Stamped!!!

Hello All,

Just wanted to run this by the community and get your thoughts and or input. I have seen many RFEs issued because of a divorce decree not being signed by a judge. Is this in the literal sense no signature period or is it a judge's stamp no signature. I have read and researched about a stamped signature on the divorce decree and as far as the legal community goes it is perfectly legal. I do realize that USCIS is not the legal community and they have their own guide lines on this. Has anyone or do you know of anyone that has drawn a RFE for submitting a stamped divorce decree. My decree is a certified copy and it says in the presiding judges signature block "ORIGINAL SIGNED BY, THEN IT LISTS THE JUDGE'S NAME all stamped. Again it is certified and attested to by the district clerk. It's already submitted in my K-1 packet. I was just getting a bit worried in that I might draw a RFE for that. Being proactive I requested a certified copy of my decree and low and behold the actual signature is there. I do have the signed decree NOW. Problem is I have already sent in a correction to the I-129F and I did not want to draw undue attention to myself this early in the game (I'm a May 2018 filer.) Perhaps I could wait a few months and send in another correction to my I-129F. The first requested correction was adding the Terms of Use for the dating site I met my fiancee at, and requesting them to add "N/A" as my answer for a few blocks I left blank that did not apply to me. Thoughts appreciated as well as this happening to anyone else.

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

I think you will be ok, I looked at mine and it was stamped not signed and we were approved, worst case is they send an RFE and you turn it right around to them, good luck!
