How could it take up to a year after they say "interview was scheduled"? If it's scheduled then from what I heard/understood it's around a month after the notice

One of my fellow June 2017 AOS filers received the same email notice we did.  He received that last September and finally had his interview in June. :o

I dunno, it makes little sense to me. Case being at "scheduling your interview" i can understand taking a year or so (however unreasonable). But after changing from that to "interview was scheduled", and USCIS saying that notice regarding exact date/time will come in a few days via mail, it doesn't make sense to take another year....

I'll have to wait and see. I called USCIS and they said that indeed my date/time for the interview should arrive in a couple of days. And the interview itself should be in a month or so.

That’s great!  Let us know when you get your interview. Maybe ours is not too far behind!

There's a big difference between "ready to be scheduled for an interview" and "interview was scheduled".

Anyone knows about the time that they are gonna take when they ask u about check list before your interview? I mean they need the correctly marriage license Bc our lawyer sent the short one and not completely so we expected our date for the interview and they just sent that they need the completely marriage license now we don’t know how long is gonna take after this ! 😢

Exactly. Interview WAS scheduled. Not ready to be scheduled. Pretty straightforward, I would say.

It is best to start your own thread and not add it to another person's question.. answers get confused and lost !

Search for the instructions for the I864 and read them thoroughly. They contain the information you all need to work out what the income level is for your situation.

Here is the link

Oh Okay... I didn't know...

This is not true. I assure you that my wife was not tested on American History or Civics. What is the source of your information?

I don't know where you got your info on testing but in 2014 when I attended my wife's AOS interview there was no testing of anything. The heading on the e mail is general.

That’s just your notice of interview and it’s coming in the mail. Sign up for informed delivery on USPS and you won’t have to worry about missing mail. There’s nothing to be so concerned about.
