   That's possible, but I don't think it's advisable to make deliberate attempts to change the subject of the discussion.

 

   If the subject does not appeal to someone, that is fine. This topic is 20 pages long, so it seems to have had enough "substance" to sustain itself for a while.

  It doesn't, but I'm not sure how one would reconcile that someone would start making off topic posts to add substance to a thread when it has already made it to page 20 and has stayed on topic. It seems to me to be substantive enough to sustain a discussion on it's own merits, and I don't like the idea of advocating going off topic on a subject that is sustaining itself already.  

 

   I appreciate all opinions posted on a subject, and I also think it's perfectly acceptable not to post if we feel a topic has no merit. Trying to change it because we think it needs more 'substance' is misguided IMO.

Honestly it is hard to see how there could be 20 pages about an indictment which is essentially nothing more than an accusation. But I didn't read all 20 pages so it's hard to tell.
