I've already told you, it his rabid base that's propping his numbers up. Since he became President his average approval rating has hovered between 37% to 45%, 45% is his CEILING. That's really poor for a President for his first term in office. Obama's ceiling in his first term was 65% and hovered between 47% to 65%. Obama took over from the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression in 1929. Trump took over a prospering economy. So you can clearly see how terrible of a job Trump is doing.

It gives a comparison of Trumps Approval ratings against all the Presidents going back to Truman. He is pretty much been behind EVERY SINGLE President during his first 18 months.

Yep, rabid base.  No accomplishments at all.  What was interesting is that for Clinton and Obama their ratings were dropping which means their expectations were a bit high and they really didn't achieve much in 18 months.

 

Not really sure 538 is credible, I think they are still predicting Hillary is going to win.  Also, where is the margin of error in their data?

Errmmm that is why you see an "average" approval rating, so margin of error won't be that big. In fact 538 were one of the few outlets who gave Trump the best chance of winning the election.

I'm going to defend Fox News for a second, they have some decent journalists such as Wallace, Shepard, Baier and Hume but once you get past 8pm the crazies come out in Carlson, Ingraham and Hannity. It turns into the Trump Propaganda Channel at that time. Wallace for example showed more balls in front of Vladimir Putin than Mango Mussolini will ever do by handing the indictments of 12 Russian Military Officers to Putin.
