My fiancé is Colombian. We recently received our NOA2 and are excited about being together soon. The question that we have is about her 4 year old son. He is listed on the visa. What type of permission does she need from his father to leave Colombia?  His father said that he will grant permission. Is there a form that she should use?  Thanks for any help you can provide.

Yes, She will need to go to the notary in Colombia to obtain an (autorizacion Para Salir Del Pais A Menor). There is not much info on the internet about this. Me and my fiancé also had this question so she consulted with her attorney who advised to go to the notary to obtain this form. The attorney also arranged for the children's father to go the notary to sign the forms. There was a question also about the expiration of the form, so we personally went to Colombia's immigration office, and they advised that the form is the correct one for a child leaving the country. And they advised the form expires in 3 months. Hope this helps
