Fresh signatures at interview

Does the beneficiary need fresh signatures from the petitioner at the interview, for example on the declaration of how we met  or intent to marry letter?

They are fresh signatures in the I129f pack, do they need to be fresh in the interview pack too?

You'll get different answers of yes and no. For us, I printed out fresh copies of the letter of intent with updated date, the I-134 and such and did "wet" signature and sent them FedEx to Manila.

 

Some will say they went through it all fine with just scanned copies.. For me, if in doubt, spend the little extra and send originals. For Houston to Manila, 3 day FedEx, cost me $90. Not that bad to make sure we didn't have issues because of a signature.

its a gray area, but the general consensus is yes, its best.

 

the letter has to be a new letter, anyways, so shouldnt be a big deal.

It is great to have a fresh signature. Furthermore, you still need to courier the I-134 (affidavit of support) to your fiance(e). So, courier it all together is a great things to do. Some might say that they got approved without any problem without a wet signature, however, you will never know for sure what will happen to you.
