My husband his interview on 8/06/2018. My father is my co sponsor due to my battling cancer this past year, which caused my income to drastically change. He is a  pastor and retired military. On his W2s from his church his housing was, $21800.00 how ever only 5450.00 of it was taxable. his VA was 16956 SS was 12737 and his Military Dis was 7800.00.  However the person that did  his taxes for 2017, made to many deductions. Is it to late for me to amend the taxes before his interview? Or will they also look at his W2s and see there's another 16350.00 that's not on the taxes. Do we need to write a letter to the CO?  We also sent his 2016 and 2015 tax transcript which shows his total income well over 30000.00. any help with this is greatly appreciated.

It may be possible to amend the taxes, but keep in mind that you may have to pay back money that he received on his return, if any. Make sure you speak to an actual CPA when amending a return. You will also have fees from the CPA.

4/13/12 --- 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

4/20/12 ---- NOA2

4/23/12 ---- Received NOA2 email/text

5/16/12 ---- NVC letter with case number saying within a week petition will be forwarded to Embassy

6/15/12 --- Scheduled Interview appt

6/18/12 --- Received instruction letter from PI embassy

6/19/12 --- Medical Exam

7/2/12 --- INTERVIEW!

7/25/12 --- Needed Police Clearance from Bahrain. Arrived and sent to Embassy 7/25

---- CALLED REPEATEDLY!!! ----

8/23/12 --- Visa Issued

8/29/12 --- Visa Received

8/30/12 --- CFO Seminar Completed

8/31/12 --- Arrived at POE - Detroit WOOHOO!! IN MY ARMS AGAIN!!!

11/1/12 --- Married!!!!

Adjustment of Status

11/15/12--- filed AOS

11/20/12--- NOA1

Brian - Shreveport, Louisiana

Jinkie - Quezon City, Philippines
