Misspelled name

Hi everyone. I just got the wifey's notive from NVC that they're sending it to the consulate. But they misspelled her last name (my last name). They spelled it right on all the NOAs, and they spelled mine right. But they misspelled hers. (Put an "A" where an "E" should be) what should I do?

Hello, you can call NVC and they will make the changes...but hurry because usually they send it out quickly. I called NVC once to have them send paperwork to another address and they did it no problem.....as long as your case is in their system and they have not sent out package, otherwise your wifey should call the embassy and maybe they could fix it.

You spelled the names correctly on the petition and G325a's and it matches the supporting documentation, right? Those all match the passport, right? All they need to do now is make sure it is in the computer correctly. Call DOS soon and check on that. If it's wrong and still needs to be changed you can notify the appropriate Consular section directly by email or fax.

I just called the embassy in the Philippines. They said there are 2 options:

1) Fax them with a letter stating the typo and its correction

2) Just wait till the interview, tell the person there's a typo, and show proof of the real name.

Either way she said it's not a big deal. Whew...
