Hello everyone,

I am a new member and getting ready to file for my Moroccan fiance, we met last May and have a question about meeting on dating site and if there's anything that I should consider before submitting the application about that. I read somewhere about an IMB requirement or something of the sort, proving that it is not, is this still valid? Also, aside from pictures and copies of all plane tickets etc, is there anything else that comes to mind that I can submit aside from those things?

Please advise.

Thanks.

If you met on a dating site you can include the terms of service for it to show it is not an IMB.

You said you met in May - I know you did not ask for advice but as you are new to visajourney I would take a look at the Morocco portal and review experiences of others. Many have a difficult time getting approved k1 with multiple visits. Even if you have no differences (you are the same age, same religion, never married, no kids) I would suggest you meet at least one more time before filing. Some months there are as many as 10 k1s approved, other months maybe only 1 or 2 cases approved.

Its difficult to tell exactly what they are looking for but couples who have many visits tend to be more successful in K1 or CR1.

First, you might want to check out the K-1 area of the guide section here:  http://www.visajourney.com/content/guides/

Secondly, you should become very, very knowledgeable of what it takes for your fiance  to successfully obtain a visa from the Moroccan consulate.  Morocco is a high fraud country and, as such, it will require a great deal planning, patience, and money to succeed.  There are posters whose experiences you should read.  Some have taken years to get a K-1 or CR-1 visa.  I'm not trying to scare you, but you need to consider all the facts about your journey ahead....good luck.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

OP-  You met last May...as in May 2018?  How many times have you met face to face?  Age difference?  Same religion?  All these things are importnt.

Thank you so much for your prompt response, we actually met May 2017 not this year, I will edit my original post to reflect that. Anyhow, I have visited 3 times since last year and have plenty of documentation to prove our relationship since then, the only problem that I have is that I changed phone numbers and after being told it's ok, our whataspp chats have been all deleted, thankfully I have some random ones that I have screenshot over time but pretty much lost all of them, will providing the ones I have and the current ones be enough? I mean , I do have proof that we met throughout the year three times and do have those screenshots and pictures.

As for the IMB, I don't see that on their website, any ideas on what I should do?

Thanks again for your time

Just wanted to reinforce what has already been said here. Include LOTS of relationship evidence. Ideally this would be proof of multiple in person visits with him, many photos, receipts, ect. The K1 visa through Morocco is a difficult (but not impossible) journey.

Thank you, I lost our chat log due to a change of number and backup error, we do have random screenshots throughout but with gaps in between. Do you foresee this being an issue with more current ones being included? I have our first email correspondence or the notification rather and the face to face proof along with pictures

Should I include our ring receipts?
