Beneficiary is Italian living in UK, which Embassy to choose for the I-129F, Naples or London?

Hello

I (beneficiary) have been living in UK for the past 3 years, and in London for the past one. I'm from Naples (Italy) and we have an US embassy there too. While filling the form we put London embassy when asked, is that ok or do you think that since I'm an Italian citizen I should put the Naples embassy instead?

 

I work and live in London, and putting Naples instead would mean that I will have to travel in Italy for the interview etc..

Use the embassy from where you legally reside and will be closer to attend the interview. In this case London.

Like above, as long as they have legal status within the UK (not a tourist visa, more like permanent residency or work visa and it will be current at time of interview) then they can either go through either embassy. Choice is yours.

If the beneficiary is living in the UK as of when you sent the petition, they're likely to send it there first regardless of what you request.

As stated, as long as you have legal residence then you can interview at either consulate. Generally, one would tend to pick their current residence.

If you are not a U.K. resident, you will have to go to Italy to prepare for your Interview.

I think it's more convenient, you will have to collect the majority of your documents from the Italian institutions anyways

I would call the embassy in London and ask them if you can attend to K1 interview there and if they have any specific requirements for you (like proof of residency or something), even if you don't need a residence to work inside of the EU, they might have some rules established in order to grant interviews to foreign citizens.

my residence is here in London, I pay taxes here and all my correspondence arrives here, I pay bills here and that's the address that my employer has for me.

I tried to call the embassy but they won't discuss these things over the phone, I need to complete an online form (which I did), and to be honest I don't know how long it will take for them to get back to me. I am sending the I-129F packet to my fiancé in US today, so it will be sent to USCIS probably by the end of next week, if I didn't hear back from them I will leave London as Embassy on the forms.

I think I will just have to gather documents from both countries, such as police check.
