I recently arrived to USA with my K1 visa. I have FNU as given name in my Visa so i got that on my i94 and SSN too. I got married, got marriage certificate with correct name.

I also got my passport corrected with name split into first name and last name.

What to do next? Should i start my adjustment of status with new name or i need to correct my i94? if so how can i update i94 with new passport?

You can’t update I-94 - it was issued properly with your passport and that’s what visa was matched to. If you wanted proper names in you should’ve corrected your passport before visa issuance.

Hopefully your marriage certificate will be enough to get through the AOS stage with new name.

I wish i knew FNU issue before getting Visa.

I called embassy they said i need to go through Visa process all over again so i can correct my Passport in USA.

I read many people went to POE and got it fixed.

Hopefully it wont be an issue. otherwise i do court order name change
