Questions 45 and 46 ask about visiting America. Question 47 asks for the passport number. She is attempting to make an appointment for the passport but so far it is months out. I am not sure where she is s checking. I will make a suggestion... 😉

Everything will be in her married name no matter what!

Being stateside with probably a more reliable connection, why not try to make an appt for her?  Try at all different times of the day.  Whenever you have a spare moment, try to secure the appointment.  That is how I was able get an appointment for my fiance...spots were open for the following day - week - month.  I think they open up slots at random times to give non-fixers a chance.  And with us being awake while they are supposed to be sleeping, you may have an edge.

There is not a single opening even through September at any location in Metro Manila.  I will check back every day but right now there is nothing.

That is the confusing part.  If they are or have been in the states the directions are to fill out 46a to 46d.  The passport number is question 47.

The earliest Aseana appointment is September.  She took and will check back for cancellations.  She believes there is going to be a 1 day passport day at the Pateros City Hall in July.  She is going to ask the councilman.

Yes I have looked at the form.   Title of that section is BENEFICIARY'S ENTRY INFORMATION.

And as I stated IF you really feel the need to enter the passport number, enter in her current passport number (won't matter that she renews her passport later).

But as I stated this section related to those who have entered the USA  (do read the instructions that relate to the I-130 )

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-130instr.pdf

FROM page 13:

Complete Part 4., Item Numbers 46.b. - 50., of the petition regarding the admission or travel document for the beneficiary.

Passport and Travel Document Numbers. Complete Part 4., Item Numbers 45. - 50., as applicable, if the beneficiary relative used a passport or travel document to travel to the United States, enter either the passport or travel document information in the appropriate space on the petition, even if the passport or travel document is currently expired.

!!!!!

You are over thinking .. and DO-DO'ing

Dagnabiitt...you are right again... I am confident in the way it is filled out.  As soon as I get a copy of the Marriage Certificate I will mail the petitions...

That denial really messed with my head.

Thanks again...and for all the future help too!

You have to check all during the day/night..not just once a day.  Anytime you think about it, check.  I think also they block all the appointments at times so fixers can't scoop them all up.  For instance, when I was able to select, all times and dates were available from the next day to 2 months out...no way that many people canceled or slots became available... ;-)

Did you get an appointment?  I just checked and slots were opened starting next week.

Last night there was nothing and now there are openings.  I will schedule one as soon as she wakes up.  Thanks for checking.  I wasn't planning on looking at that until next week!

Is the passport number of the beneficiary required if they haven't been to the US?

No. You only need to enter passport number if the beneficiary has been to USA..Above the section it states beneficiary entry information. My wife did not even have a Passport when I file the 130 for her. Remember this is still going to take some time . So do not stress to much about Passport appointment  make it as soon as you can but you will have enough time during the process to have the passport change before your wife needs it

Hank has giving you some good advice. If you stay on top of things you could probably have the visa process done in less then a year

After you send in the I-130  start gathering stuff for the NVC part. Not much you can do to hurry up the USCIS  but wait for them to  approve petition . However at the NVC there are little things you can do to speed process a little. My wife visa took about 10 months

good luck with everything

In another bizarre but not unexpected occurrence, there are indeed open days listed for the passport appointments.  The problem is that once you select a day, there are no open times so we can't move any further...Gotta love the Philippines...

We did it!  Rose has a DFA appointment on Monday for her new passport.  It wasn't quite getting as bad as giving birth so I assume DFA will keep working on it!  Thank you @2018JNJ and Hank for the great direction and support.
