Hi All,

The spouse (USC) and I chose to separate in December 2017 after I filed for my I-751 in November. At the time of filing we shared the same address. We are not divorced yet (not sure if we will steer in that direction) but we wanted to live apart temporarily anyway. I filed a change of address with USCIS after I got my own place. Should I ask him to do the same? I figured we would inform USCIS about our current situation if/when we get called for an interview. Even in that situation, I understand that your spouse does not HAVE to attend the interview with you. He is fine with supporting me through the process but I started to wonder recently if we should inform USCIS about his address. The forms don't have an option for 'separated' and I did not want to check the 'divorced' box.
