Don't 100% trust rapidvisa.  Monitor your case on your own. We had people here who had issues with that company.

We mailed our 129F today with help from Rapidvisa.

Marriage in Ecuador isn't an option.

Congratulations, and good luck with your case. From what I've read since starting the process in November, August time is peak, meaning more applications and so takes a bit longer. I believe applications may be taking a little longer than mind did right now, but here is my timeline that may help:

Submitted beginning of November, approved in middle of May. Didn't get my medical appointment until the end of July, didn't have my interview until beginning of August. Still awaiting for my VISA. Once I get it (in the next couple of weeks) I will have 6 months to use it.

Unfortunately lots of people on VJ don't like to answer specific questions, but chime in with their 2 cents instead. If my timeline continues as projected currently, the process would have taken around 11 months. London, UK is also seen as one of the easier consulates too, so not many issues. I don't know what the consulate in Ecuador is like, but can you can for sure check out some of the reviews here on VJ.

I hope this helps give you a better idea on the sort of time you're looking at currently, and I wish you all the best. :)

Thanks for the feedback Leesa! Overall I think Ecuador is seen by US Immigrations as one of the better countries in South America. They have a stable government and very few people fleeing for economic or security reasons. We are hoping to complete everything in a year.

Most likely your visa will be valid until end of January (6 months from medical), https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/after-the-interview/validity-period-of-the-visa/:

Quote

The validity period of an immigrant and fiancé(e) visa is based on the medical examination, the maximum validity of which is six months from the date on which it is performed. You will be advised further at your interview.

Hey, just thought I'd let you know that I got my VISA today, and it expires 6 months from the issue date of the VISA, not the date of my medical. :)

You could also check processing times for Ecuador consulate. I'm in Mexico and it takes around 3 months to get an interview date after NOA2, there are also reviews here on VJ about every consulate, you could read those to have an idea about what to expect on that stage. Good luck!
