How long were you there for?

I honestly never thought our relationship would be in question because it's real- I was more worried about showing support financially and having a reliable job here in the states. I didn't think they would question the relationship- so frustrating when we've waited almost 9 months just to get this answer....it's people's lives.

Two weeks the first visit and 18 days the second visit.

High fraud consulate and a couple of short visits, I would anticipate that this is the answer. I assume you have not met elsewhere?

It's not because of you, or him, it's the CO's job to evaluate what they see. They didn't look at other evidence because they review the I-129f petition before the interview and generally can make a decision off of that alone.

Morocco, being a high fraud country, your petition needed to be heavily front loaded with information.

As for visits, yes face time for there is very important to the CO's. Trust me, I understand the expense of traveling, it adds up quickly. So as others have said, more face time, and probably best option is the CR-1 route now.

Others may disagree, but I do believe the officers at the Casablanca consulate do have an idea of whether or not they will approve the case or not just based on what is included in the I-129F packet. They never look too much (usually not at all) at any additional evidence that is brought to the interview. If the fiance does well at the interview and the I-129F packet is strong with a lot of relationship evidence, the CO is more likely to approve the case. It isn't unheard of for the CO to ask very detailed or sometimes seemingly irrelevant questions. They are trying to see if the beneficiary can confidently answer, or at least seem honest if they truly do not know the answer. Sometimes language barriers are an issue too (if the interview was done in English).

Unfortunately you are hearing about all of this now instead of before you filed the I-129F petition. On the bright side, you all of this information still applies to the CR1 visa petition (importance of including A LOT of relationship evidence from each trip). This will allow you to prepare a stronger petition that will hopefully result in an approval.

Travel to Turkey or Saudi Arabia should not play a role. It is not even a red flag. Both countries are far further developed than Morocco and are not on a "terrorist watch list".

Thus, I would not see a problem with legit travel to those countries unless they expect drugs etc.

The important thing to remember is the CO is not trying to prove your fiance is committing visa fraud. He is assuming your fiance is committing visa fraud and it is up to your fiance to prove otherwise. It is a guilty until proven innocent situation.

Yes, I agree, I would have sent a lot more evidence then with the application. I assumed that was what the interview was for, and was wrong. My best friend married a man from Morocco 7 years ago and that's actually how my fiance and I met- through them. Their experience was much difference so I was expecting the same results. I guess I learned a hard lesson. I will visit with the immigration office here in MN and go from there. Thanks for your help.

I think the best for you is to read here and talk with some of the people who successfully overcame  a refusal in Morocco and there are many.

They didn't even ask to look at the documentation for our relationship either so not sure. So frustrating.

My wife thought the CO did not look at anything, all that stuff we compiled for the interview.  However.. the package was gathered up BEFORE she talked to the CO, and I would pretty much bet that someone behind the scenes pre-scanned all the info and then either give the thumbs up or thumbs down to the CO before the beneficiary gets to the window.  Any raised questions from the 1st person would be passed to the CO to ask about.  I see comments all the time, they take a lot of pictures, make a photo album, and the CO does not even look at the "evidence" , but I am sure "someone" did.

@ambularanne I feel your pain and I know how frustrating this can be. I agree with most of the people here, and the wonderful

advice some people offer here. My fiance is also from Morocco, our process was very smooth from the beginning, but got stuck

towards the end at the embassy. Visa (K-1) was not issued and she was put on AP. We had a lot of evidence with us to provide,

including facetime. I had already visited four times, in the past 2 years. This is not to make you feel bad, as you have only visited

less, but its to say that they take this facetime into account seriously, along with other details of your ongoing relationship.

So I have decided to put this AP to an end, by marrying her this Fall. We don't think that forgetting to submit police report should take

more than 10 months to get an approval. Her interview was in Oct 2017. I have also visited USCIS office by making an infopass

appointment with them, spoke to the officer, who basically had nothing to offer me. He said the USCIS has no jurisdiction over embassy

abroad. My file which is still with them along with my fiancé's passport. So I have set a deadline to this AP, I will marry her and re-file.

So should you (just an advice).

Marrying her won't put an end to the AP though. If they haven't completed it, starting over won't change that.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
