Hello,

If petitioner of CR1 visa quits job and moves to spouse's home country (part way into visa waiting process) before the start of the new tax year is a co sponsor still necessary?

or do the petitioner's tax transcripts suffice since it does show income?

If petitioner finds another US based job that places them at or above minimum income requirements whilst living overseas will a cosponsor be needed?

Thanks in advance

Once a person quits a job, the income no longer counts for the I-864.

It doesn't matter what tax year.  Tax transcript is not enough.  A current job is necessary.

Working the US job is required.  Finding a job is not enough.  He would have to actually stop living overseas, come home to the US, and actually work.

After pondering over this I should clarify that it is a US based online job. W2s will still be received. Taxes will still be filed.
