In fact, the responses have been patient and thorough.  People here are trying to help you.

No, it shouldn't. She has 2 year residency requirement so the fact that she is married to a GC visa holder does not matter because she could never get a GC without meeting the requirement before. I had a friend in the same situation (she was even on his GC petition because they were married when he applied through work) and she had a J1 for a long time after that, which she renewed several times. I doubt they'll think she will overstay her J1 in the US because she has a postgraduate degree.

 

Take into account that a GC for a spouse of a GC holder takes at least 2 years. So once she leaves the US to meet the requirement, you need to apply for her GC. She has to meet the 2 years by the time she has the consulate interview which will be the final step in the 2 year process.
