Hi, sorry if this is repetitive. I’m currently in the US visiting my fiancé and we just got our new case number from the NVC. I’ve booked my medical for July 23rd and was due to fly home this Sunday. I’d like to extend my trip by two weeks or so...would that impact our case? I would obviously rather stay here for a little longer with my fiancé but don’t want to have a huge impact on our case!! Thanks in advance for the help

Hello,

I am just waiting for my NOA2 any day now and want to visit my Fiance in Boston for 2 weeks in August. Can I go on a B1/B2 visa with a return ticket, and employment letter stating I have to come back.

Also, by chance if the Customs Officer denies entry - then is the passport stamped ?

You can always be denied entry, the passport would be stamped.

No one has guaranteed access expect for US citizens but a majority in this topic have successfully visited their fiance(e) during the visa process. You can only try and hope you have enough ties to prove returning home and a nice CBP officer.

Yes. The ESTA is not invalid only because you applied for a K-1
I'm going to fly over in August on ESTA

Yep! I flew up and down on ESTA a couple of times during my K-1 process. Never encountered a problem!

ESTA is still valid until you have k1. I travelled a few times under ESTA during k1 process, I also renewed it during the process without problems (I had to renew because I got a new British passport during the process, so I'd have 10 years+ on it after moving to the US).

Thee responses are not indicative of what to expect for the majority of people. Canada, and England are not suspect countries.  Most people here have a fiance in the former Soviet Union or Philippines. The chance of a visitor visa while a K1 is pending from these countries is slim to none.

I'm pretty sure this thread is for people whose fiancé(e) either already has or doesn't need a visitor visa; I think we're all very aware that a visitor visa application is almost never going to be approved with a pending K-1. And those of us whose fiancé(e) would have little chance of getting a visitor visa even without a pending K-1 probably know that too. This thread isn't for us. It's to reassure those whose fiancé(e) can visit the US legally that a K-1 application doesn't change anything until the visa is actually approved.
