Have you gone before?

Happy to report that I am back from my trip and everything went well. I crossed from CBX in Tijuana and went through inspection with an officer who was extremely nice and sent me to get a permit to the permits office. They were very nice there too, asked for how long I was staying and where, and the purpose of my trip. I answered all questions truthfully and disclosed that I was visiting my boyfriend, so they asked how we met. I even asked them if the permit I was getting was multiple entry, since I am visiting again in about two months. The officer did not mention anything about my K-1 petition, but I'm guessing he did see that it was pending since he took a long time looking at the computer before giving me my permit, looking at my history, I assume.

I wish everyone who will be visiting, safe travels!

I've visited twice since having my K1 visa filed we are close to getting our NOA2 and I entered the US just before  christmas, all he asked was how long are you staying and I said 1 month to visit my fiance and he stamped my passport and said have a lovely trip.

October filer here!

Planning on visiting my fiancè in Massachusetts at the end of March for Easter & staying till end of May whilst we wait this process out.

How can i prove ties to back home if im leaving my current job before i fly at the end of March?

I have a friend who is a September filer, she has no job & flies to NY to be with her fiancé atleast 3 times a year & shes never been denied access on her ESTA but i just want more reassurance really.

I've visited three times since applying and have never been asked to show any documentation although have been pulled via customs twice, having been flagged as a single traveller. It really is nothing to worry about. I would suggest having details of your return flight to hand.

I will have my return flight details, travel insurance for the exact dates im visiting, letter showing my rent, & a copy of NOA1 just incase.

Im only anxious because it”ll be the first time travelling after finishing my job.

I appreciate the reassurance :)

What has changed since the prior refusal that would make a difference?

Question for those who are more versed. I really don't want to read the whole 119 pages. That seems torturous. (I will if I must)

I'm in the middle of waiting on the NOA2 for the K-1 visa, and want to go visit my fiance in the States. I plan on going down for 4 weeks because we've never spent a lot of time together, and the wait is kind of driving me batty.

I don't have a job. I live with my mother, so I do not have a lease. I do have my car, which I plan to drive down and import when the actual move happens, visa in hand.

So far, I'm going to compile:

  • Travel Itinerary, which includes an already booked return flight.
  • Proof of car ownership, and some form of letter stating I will be importing it.
  • Insurance info, stating I have an active insurance plan.
  • Cell phone info, again stating I have an active contract/plan.
  • Pictures of my living space, clearly detailing I am still living there. (Saw someone mention that, so using it as a "just in case")
  • Any relevant K-1 process info: Application, status, etc.
  • Possibly letter from parents stating I will be returning, with their info if they would like to call.

Curious if there is any tips or if there is evidence I may have missed that would be helpful? I'm worried they will not let me in as I do not have a job or a lease to show I have responsibilities here. Thanks for any help!

To tell the truth, I brought everything everytime and told them I'm visiting my fiancé. All they asked is for how long. Not even my ticket. Never took longer than 2 minutes.

now this was lax and I believe they are comparatively easygoing. But before this when I said visiting my bf, I've been asked to show tickets etc. and it took me longer to get out of the airport.

1 thing though I read a lot is not to bring every single item for k1 but to have a picture of your noa1 with you if needed. (I've heard they may think you're just bringing everything... which sound illogical to me but just in case)

and try to relax :) being relax is the easiest way to all this.
