My fiance and I have both been divorced previously, and have kids, and are .. older - pushing 40 & 50.

Our parents and family know we are intending to marry, but we are both independent adults and don't live close to family.

So we don't have close relationships with each other's family. Just our kids skyping with us when we skype.

We have a statement validating our ongoing relationship from his oldest son. but no communication proof between me and his fam or vice versa yet.

We will file I129f in a few weeks, and then obviously by the time the interview comes we would have chatted to each other's family - is his ok?

I didn't have any photos or proof of contact with family, him with my family or mine with his. I had a photo of us with friends, but mostly it was just the two of us by ourselves in the pics I sent. So, just go with what you have. I think communication with family is very secondary to proof that you two communicate often, it is nice to have proof that you are involved in each other's families, but not necessary I think.

You dont need it.

Proof of a relationship and meeting within the 2 year time frame is based on boarding passes, photos of the two of you, receipts, etc.

We are the same ages as you and have no pics of paul with my family, who I dont live near (though he has met the key players, except for my dad, but hes spoken with him on the phone). I did include a pic or two of paul and my 12 year old, I think.
