Address change around time of filing I-751

So, the earliest I can file for my removal of conditions is July 30th, 2018. We are currently closing on a house and if the inspections come out positive, our closing date will be August 17th, less than 3 weeks after I can file for ROC.

Should I just wait to file the I-751 and put my new address on there? If I do that, should I still send in a address change form for me and my USC spouse before filing, or at the time of filing?

Or should I just send the ROC documents on my 90 day mark, July 30th and then send the address change form as soon as we close, on August 17th, because we want to make sure the ROC documents are sent out as close to the beginning of the 90 day period as possible?

I'm a little lost!

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

You can file for RoC within 90 days prior to the expiration date of the card. Some members on here have sent their packets off to USCIS the last week before their 90 days was ending!

For the address change, you need to alert them of this within 10 days of moving into the new location so I suggest waiting until you move into the new residence and ensure that mail is coming to you before sending out your packet. Alternatively, you may not move as planned so take a step back and really assess the situation.

I had the exact same problem.

i751 form has two boxes for two different addresses: Physical Address & Mailing Address. I put my current residential address  ( from which we are going toi be moving out ) in the Physical Address and put my work address in the Mailing Address. I received my NOA at my work address without any problems. You may also put a third party's address as mailing address. It even has a Care Of field in it too.

Address change form is not connected with i751 and can be sent anytime you want to update your new address.
