ONE MORE QUESTION....

I KNOW THAT I WILL BE NEEDING A CO-SPONSOR, BUT I AM NOT SURE IF I JUST GO AHEAD AND FILL OUT THE I-134 AND SEND IT TO MY FIANCE WITH THE REST OF THE STUFF OR IF ME AND MY CO- SPONSOR SHOULD, OR IF I FILL OUT THE I-864. MY UNDERSTANDING WAS THAT THE I-864 WAS DONE AFTER THE MARRIAGE???

ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREAT?!?!

THANKS!

KATLYN

You are correct, you and your co-sponsor need to do I-134s for the k-1 visa interview.

After marriage you and if you still need a co-sponsor you both do I-864.

The consulates are required to use form I-134 for k-visas, this is in the Foreign Affairs Manual.

Check with the consulate about the affidavit of support. Most consulates use I-134 but I know there are some exceptions (ie. France) - in which case the I-864 is used.

We sent I-134 w/ K1 and I-864 w/ AOS.
