US Consulate General Montreal for dummies.....

Does Montreal send you a formal confirmation letter/email to confirm that you have scheduled your interview or do you just provide the email confirmation page that you receive from the AIS website after scheduling as confirmation at the medical appt? Just double checking as I'm doubting myself and medical is next week.......

My fiance just printed the emailed confirmation page that included his name, case # and interview date on it. It was fine :)

You have successfully scheduled your appointment and paid the K Visa application fee. Here are the details of your transaction.

You must print this instruction page and bring it with you to your consular interview, along with the letter or email you received from the Consular Section.

For additional information on the Immigration Visa process and required documents, please refer to your letter or email or visit the Consular Section Website at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/iv/information/iv_overview.

I'm confused about "the letter or email you received from the Consular Section".

I understand it to mean that they are asking for the P4 letter inviting you to schedule. But it could also mean some other confirmation letter that the Colsulate hasnt sent me yet....which is why I'm doubtful.

The Consulate is not going to send me anything further to confirm my interview appt with them? The online confirmation email from AIS is the final correspondence, right?

Yes. The confirmation email from AIS with the appointment date / time and your name / case number is the one that we printed for our medical and it was what they wanted to see. Good luck!

For the interview, we plan on bringing a copy of the P4 letter, a copy of the email confirmation above and our NOA2. It will probably be overkill, but better safe than sorry!

For K1 you need the copy of the P4 letter saying you can book the interview, then the confirmation from AIS you have booked the interview.

The wording is awkward for K1 since your P4 doesn't have your interview date on it since you book your own.
