Hey y'all, I have a few questions (hopefully just ones that pertain to me personally as I'd like to believe I've done enough research not to ask something that's already been seen a million times, haha). I've done a fair bit of research on this whole process already and feel fairly confident with most of it, though there's still a little bit I'm wary of and I'd like to hear what others think, even if just for the peace of mind. :) I apologize in advance if this is long.

Some slight background, in case it applies: My fiancé and I are only 2 months apart in age, and rather young, both of us 21 years old. He is from the Netherlands and has visited me on an ESTA with no issues. He has only visited once, mainly due to both of us struggling financially and I haven't been over there due to that and being fearful of traveling alone, especially for the first time, on a plane, over the ocean, haha.

So first is basically just "is this enough to prove we met in person in the past two years?". His visit was initially meant to last a month (this year May 7th to June 6th) but he decided to stay until June 27th to help my family and I move, given that the ESTA allowed him to stay. I have a handful of pictures with us together from when he came here, including one or two with my younger brother (though I only have about 5 altogether, not including retakes. We didn't take many because neither of us is particularly fond of taking tons of pictures, only a few that really matter.) Along with him sending me scans of his flight tickets and boarding passes, scans of my gate pass for when he left, and a printed screenshot of an email receipt for a hotel we stayed at on my birthday, do you think all of this would suffice for evidence that we met? I'd assume it would be but I'd greatly appreciate some different opinions as well.

Second, I have almost no doubt that I will need a cosponsor (I'm aware this is something that's a bit later down the line and forms sent to my fiancé, but I just want to have it planned out as best I can). I don't work at the moment, though I intend to very soon, but when I do I'm almost certain that I won't meet the requirements to support my fiancé. Thankfully, I have a very easily qualifying and supportive cosponsor in my father, not to mention I live with him and the rest of my family. There's a few questions I have here though. Firstly, I've heard that the USCIS/embassies' policy on cosponsors is shaky at best, especially with these visas, but do you think it's helpful that he's not only a close relative, but the owner of the house I live in and the main source of income for the household? It's easily proven that he makes enough to support another person here financially. Secondly, I've heard people recommend that in addition to the both of us filling out Affidavit of Supports, my mother should too since they are married and file things jointly. So would it be wise to have my mother fill one out too, even though she doesn't make a living? Thirdly, my father's job is changing at the end of the month due to the current company shutting down. Would it be enough to provide evidence of his income from the new place he winds up working at or would I also need evidence from this job that's ending soon? Lastly, this is slightly more inconsequential, just an efficiency thing for me. Would it be okay for me to fill out all three of those forms and just have my parents sign and date them? It would be much quicker for me to fill them out and just have them read over them and sign them, but if that's risky or not allowed then I'd like to know so I can plan that out.

Also, just as a bit of an addendum, my fiancé and I have known each other for over a year now but as I said, he has only visited once (though for a fairly long amount of time, almost 2 months), due to both of us not particularly having the finances to visit more. Ideally there would be visits in October and/or December but we're not even sure these can happen. I assume only having one visit would make the process a bit harder for us, but does it make it impossible?

Apologies again for long post and big questions that don't have generally solid answers, haha. I just want to be as thorough as I possibly can be before even trying to send the packet in and having a lawyer do it is not an option provided our financial dilemma.

Thank you so much for any insight you can provide. We appreciate it greatly. :)

the one visit is fine, as long as you file before its been 2 years since you met.

for the co sponsor, your mom will have to fill out the form as well, since she and your father are married and taxes are done jointly. theres only a handful of consulates that dont like co sponsors, and i doubt the Netherlands are among them (low fraud country). Yes you can fill it out but your parents need to verify the info before they sign.

For the interview, youll need your parents last 3 years tax transcripts and since he is changing jobs, a letter of employment from the company and recent W2's should suffice. if he starts the job this year, its most likely he will have filed taxes documenting the new job anyways, by the time you get to that point.
