K1 Visa next steps for me-NOA2, Packet 3 & 4

Hello all, I just wanted to ask a few questions about my K1 Visa.

Correct me if I wrong and/or add to each question statement please.

The NOA1 ( I received the text 5/17 and mailed copy a few days later) and NOA2 comes from the USCIS next.

1. So I ( the petitioner) will get the NOA2 next via text again and mail correct? My finance doesn’t get this right?

2. Once my petition is sent to the NVC when and how does the NVC notify me of receipt? Does my fiancé get anything from the NVC (text, email or postal)?

3. Once my case is sent to the US EMBASSY in LA PAZ Bolivia what is sent to me and sent to my fiance and how?

4. I’m confused on packet 3 and 4. Which one of us gets the notification or packet and how?

5. I have read packet 3 is just procedures and not needed in reality, it’s the same procedures found on the US EMBASSY website and could be just sent via email to one of us and not through the normal mail). That packet 3 is just a go ahead for the fiancé to schedule the interview, do the DS 260 online, get a medical exam 3 weeks prior to interview, get her birth certificate, get her immunization records, get her criminal records, for me to provide her the AOS Affidavit of Support, have her passport and mail all of these documents to the LA PAZ embassy five days before the interview.

6. I have no idea what packet 4 is for on a K1 Visa.

Between all the ‘who gets what and how’ and order which needs to be done and complete can get confusing, on top of this we are applying for a non-immigrant visa per the department of state website, the one with the steps  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html#additional yet the US EMBASSY webite calls the fiancé visa an immigrant visa https://bo.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee/how-to-apply/

I live in the Miami area and she lives in Bolivia.

Thanks and feel free correct me I haven’t had a lot of sleep lately my fiancé is coming to see me for two weeks in the next day.

Here is a link to the Embassy in Bolivia with information at the bottom...

After your receive a case number from NVC they will transfer it to Bolivia.

Your fiance can Pay the fees and complete DS-260 online.

There is no packet 3, only packet 4 that will be emailed to you in PDF format. It has all the information and what she is required to do and submit. All document must be submitted 10 days prior to the interview. None Immigrant Visa must book interview by calling the call center.

Thanks Adil-rafa, what do you mean I will need to inform my beneficiary. What does she gets at the mailing address we had to provide on the I-129F?

Thanks Mmagic, so my fiancé does not get anything emailed or sent to her postal mail at all from either the NVC or US EMBASSY in LA PAZ? What was the point of providing my fiancé mailing address on the I-129f?

Thanks but I understand that but why I’m asking is should my fiancé be on the look out for something to be mailed to her mailing address?

Yes, there are possibilities of the embassy wanting to contact her or send her inquired by mail. I am not sure in Bolivia if the Passport mailed to your fiance after the visa is stamped or picked up in person. Also, the Embassy might want to do background check on her and find out if she is really living in that city or that address, if they want to...Anything and everything is possible

Thanks, the mail system in Santa Cruz is average at best and a lot of residents and businesses don’t even have an address and if you can believe some don’t have street or road names at least on google earth.

I stated her physical address but she can’t get mail there as it’s an a small apartment complex but there is only one address for the entire building and the land lord decided he or she would no longer keep and distribute everyone’s mail so we used her work address as it’s more reliable for the K1 question ‘mailing address’.

She can be verified at work and home but if the landlord gets up on the wrong side of bed and decides to throw away or not give my fiancé her mail I had to give reliable mail to address.

I see, I don't have any idea about the postal system in La Paz. But, I have a good news for you. When the visa is approved, they will send your fiance email asking her to pick it at DHL office. She has to register with DHL online and when she does go to her interview, the first thing they will ask her "have your registered with DHL?"

I believe all the information will be sent to her in packet 4

I have this link for you where I did get this info...go through what others said about their inteviews

From what I can tell you guys are saying is other than some personal request or notification specific to the Bolivian Embassy my fiancé will not receive in mail what’s so ever any or advised of the standard request about what to do next like the medical, required documents, do the online DS 260 and schedule the interview and that I will be notified and then I have to let her know all this........this seems odd she is half the relationship.
