Lost SSN Card Before AOS

I had an EAD + SSN after while I was on F-1 and lost my SSN after getting a job. Currently I'm adjusting status and going to receive my c9 based EAD next Monday but I didn't apply for a replacement/new card on my application. Will I get a new/updated SSN card in the mail too?

 

On their website it says they need 

 

  • I-551 Permanent Resident Card;
  • I-94 Arrival/Departure Record with unexpired foreign passport or admission stamp in the unexpired foreign passport; or
  • I-766 Employment Authorization Document, (EAD, work permit) from DHS.

 

But I will only have my I-94 and EAD, not the permanent resident card yet. Do I have to wait for my green card to get a replacement SSN card?

You won’t get the SS card automatically. You can go to the SS office with the EAD and apply for the replacement card. You will get a new card with the same number as previous.

Exactly. You need to go to the SSA office near your area with your EAD and they will mail you a new card (same number) . Then when you receive your GC you will inform them you got your GC and so on.
