Hi all,

we've send off our petition on 29th April, and dont know if a cheque has been cashed, only that Mesquite recieved it 2 days later. We send the moneyorder via Western Union. how can i check it and also i read somewhere people got their case number (WAC) before hearing from the service centre, where do you get it, if possible at all?

Well you have to wait for your NOA1 to arrive in the mail, which should arrive any day now. If you used a personal check, you can get the case number off the canceled check, but I dont think you can with a money order.

If you find out that your money order has been cashed and you still don't have your NOA1, then you can call USCIS customer service and they'll give you the receipt # over the phone.

The best way for you to find out if the money order has been chashed y by calling the 1-800 number, that's on the back of the money order stub... it will ask you to enter the money order number, then tell you if it has been cashed, and if so, it will also tell you when it was chashed, I think you are in the "safe-zone" still.

After you get the NOA1, go to the USCIS website and create a portfolio, so you can check your case and best of all... receive e-mails. That's how you are going to be able to know, when they "touch" you (not on e-mails, but on the website... yes!) or when they've mailed something out.

I understand it's nerve recking... hang in there, it won't take that long.

well its been almost 37 days since we filed and still nothing. all we know is TSC got it. no case number, dont know if money order was cashed.. i know there is a delay. but has anyone that filed around my time recieved a NOA1?

we have the same timeline as you, we filed on the 27th april and have heard nothing whatsoever since. And we paid by money order so we don't know wether they've cashed it yet

We've just got to be patient, I guess.

We have a similar timeline too and as yet we have not received an NOA1 although we know the case number from the back of the cheque and so were able to check that an NOA1 was issued.

I sent my I-129F on May 7th, 2007. They processed my check on May 30 and also sent my NOA1, which arrived in the mail on June 4th.

I sent my I-129F to NSC but it must have been forwarded to CSC.
