So now that we have all sent in the packet & waiting for the next step , can I number down our next steps , please ? Please correct me if I’m wrong anywhere in these steps

1. Wait for NOA1 or I-179c

2. If no RFE & if we r lucky enough expect NOA2 in the next 4-6 months.

3. Once we get NOA2 our case will be sent to NVC & within a week we could call & get our case #

4. Once the case no is available we can go to the counsulate site to fill DS -160

5. In the mean time get stuff together for interview as beneficiary’s Police clearance & our I-139 & supporting details

6. Get medical done

7. Schedule interview

is that all the steps ?

Errr
I don't want to be the bearer of bad news:

2) NOA2 is taking an average of 200 days. That's 6.5+ months. No one is getting NOA2 in 4 months. 180 days is the earliest I have seen lately but some of y'all should buckle down for 220+ days unless USCIS changes things (which is hopefully going to happen)
3) You wait about 14 days at NVC to begin calling. Anything before time really is a waste of time. But that timeline really is 12 days to 6 weeks.

For steps 4-7, that's embassy specific.
When you get NOA2, then check with your specific country on what the steps are. I say that because for some countries like Canada, you don't do anything until they contact you. For others like nigeria, you do everything yourself.
but the general idea is correct- Get Case Number, Fill out DS-160, Do medical, do interview.

Good luck guys!

Hello K1 July filers gang. Looks like some of us have gone into hibernation mode except for ujones.

For those of us  still trying to peek through the weeds, I came across a June 2018 NOA2 and it had a ton of valuable info and links. Hope you find it useful too.

Saying "Hi" and hope everyone is doing well.

Did you mean a June 2017 NOA2?  No one from last month would even be close to having that yet, even expedites......

You get the e-mail and OR sms notifications (some few people get both) when your case has been accepted.
The e-mail/text gives you your case number and tells you where your case is (all fiance visas go to California so don't even worry about that)
NOA1 is your I-797C. Basically tells you the same thing the text says. We just say NOA1 here cuz that's just easier to type.
Your I-797 is the Approval itself (i.e. NOA2)

Welcome to the group!
