Proof of relationship evidence.

I have airline tickets, receipts from activities together,  pictures ...but other than that.... ????  Does monetary support count, and if so, should it be included?  Would a statement from the orphanage where we feed kids (an ongoing activity, even though I am back stateside)  would that count?  We video chat daily, and have done so for years, but there is no proof of video chatting that I am aware of....can anyone suggest anything else?

fill in your timeline and what type of visa are you applying if done so already? If k-1, you need proof of having met in the last 2 years. anything and everything that you have an ongoing proof of a relationship. Passport stamps, boarding passes, pictures of both of you (possible date on it), hotel bookings, luggage tags, other venues with your names, etc. Chat logs, video logs, pictures with family hers/his. Monetary support also counts as evidence.

What app did you use for video chat? If Whatsapp, it keeps a log of your phone and video calls. You can take screenshots on your phone and then paste them into a Word document. Hope this helps.

I would save everything. Remember you are trying to show your love for each other. You have to convince the interviewer this is real.  I made 5 small binders for our interview.  One was all of our facebook messenger messages, One was all of our pictures together and family together, One was financial money I sent to her, One was made of all of our FaceTime calls I screen shot while in the call and also included call logs, and the last one was all of our support documents.  Today when the Fiancé went into the interview the person said she did a great job making a detailed logs of our relationship.  She replied that I did it and he said it was thorough and good.  The more you show the better.  Good luck

This is seriously stressing me out.  We met in 2013 playing a video game. Me in the US and he in Canada. I did not save or in-game chats way back then I never thought I would one day have to prove when and how we met. For that fact, our relationship progressed along like a normal friendship that turned into more.  We were married in Canada a little over a year later. Yes, I have photos and our travel but some of the VOLUMES of paperwork I have seen some submitting scares me. We met, we fell in love, we got married, and we live our lives. It sounds like that is not going to be enough?

I would rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not ...

There's no need for volumes of paperwork, especially from a low fraud country (i.e. Canada). Time spent physically together is the strongest form of evidence of a bona fide relationship.

That said, just living your lives is not enough. You must be able to show that you live your lives together, or else anybody could just lie about it for a green card.

No need to overly stress about it...a strong case from a low fraud country is not going to be an issue with determining that the relationship is bona fide. :)

Thank you for that information. Yes, we do have all the normal documents of our lives "together" before and after we got married. I purchased my home in 1994. My name is the only name on the title, Same with my car. We have one car. His name is on all of the insurance we have, medical, dental, life, auto, and home. We have had joint bank accounts since before we were even married. He is also the beneficiary on all of my financial retirement accounts. What can be joint accounts are, some are not and (let's just say it was prior to him understanding that this was not Canada and we do things differently in the states in regards to credit  =)"

THANK YOU...so much!  Its funny, sometimes you can get so caught up in trying to make sure all the t's are crossed and the i's are dotted, that you lose sight of whats important!  Much appreciated!
